Collecting ODBC trace logs

In order to diagnose some FairCom database errors you may need to enable additional logging.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Close OffiSign-In
  2. Open the ODBC Administrator from Start -> Run:
    C:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe
    Or if you are running 64-bit Windows:
    C:\Windows\SysWow64\odbcad32.exe
  3. Go to the System DSN tab in the ODBC Data Source Administrator
  4. Double click on
    OffiSignInEclipse
    if it exists or
    ECLIPSE
    if it does not
  5. Click the
    Options>>
    button to expand the dialog
  6. Check the box for
    c-tree Plus Debug
  7. OK the dialog box
  8. Go to the Tracing tab in the ODBC Data Source Administrator
  9. Type in a custom path or take note of the path in the Log File Path box
  10. Click
    Start Tracing Now
  11. Run OffiSign-In until you see the error and submit the error report
  12. E-mail the ODBC trace (from the path noted above) and FairCom log to OffiSign-In support:
    C:\ProgramData\OffiSign-In\DSN\ctodbc.log
    or if on Windows XP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\OffiSign-In\DSN\ctodbc.log
  13. Follow the steps again to uncheck the box for
    c-tree Plus Debug
    and to click
    Stop Tracing Now
